"I want to emphasize the LIFE LESSONS." Nelson Knepp, 2nd generation owner of K&K Industries spoke this quote to the Daviess County CEO class on Wednesday, Sept. 8th. Nelson encouraged the students to go beyond the basics of entrepreneurship and understand the importance of Life Lessons that will carry the students throughout their lives. Knepp said that his father Abe, founded the business on Faith. Faith, Family and Friends will also be there.

Nelson said that Faith carried K&K through a fire in 1980, tornado in 2005 and Abe Knepp's death in a plane crash in 2007. All 3 were devastasting events that would cause some people to give up.

When asked what was their Unique Value Proposition, Nelson remarked that "We assume responsibility for our products." Our customer service is fixing problems on the job site. He mentioned the importance of Quality, Service and Price. You can't have all three. We focus on Quality and Service. Customers will always come back when the product is of high quality and service. They are willing to pay a higher price for those two items. If you put price first, you cut quality and possibly service.

Thank you Nelson for a great visit and for the tasty donuts.
