Inspiring Insights from TrueScripts: A Visit with the Daviess County CEO Cohort
On April 7th, the Daviess County CEO Cohort had the opportunity to visit TrueScripts, a rapidly growing company that has made a significant impact in just ten years. The experience was both eye-opening and inspiring, offering students a firsthand look at how values-driven leadership can shape a successful organization.
The TrueScripts team—Dean Merder, Kurt Carpenter, Hannah Wiscaver, and Ashley Fischer—warmly welcomed the cohort and shared powerful lessons on personal growth, leadership, and professional development. The company’s guiding principle, “Give amazing care. Be the best, not the biggest,” was evident in every aspect of the visit.
Throughout the morning, students were encouraged to:
***Seek real-world experience through internships
***Treat every day as an interview
***Network with everyone they meet
***Dress for success
***Develop a diverse set of skills
***Be authentic
***Embrace mistakes as learning opportunities
***Take risks and step outside their comfort zones
Dean Merder challenged students to continuously pursue knowledge and to stay open to new opportunities. He emphasized the importance of expanding their skill sets—particularly in business—regardless of their career goals.
Kurt Carpenter echoed the need for adaptability, urging students to remain flexible in their journey and not be afraid to change direction when needed. One highlight of the visit was learning about TrueScripts’ innovative “Dream Manager” program, which supports employee growth and fulfillment beyond the workplace, further reflecting the company's dedication to building a positive and purpose-driven culture.
TrueScripts’ Vision: To deliver amazing care to every person we serve, every day.
Core Values:
***Integrity
***Respect
***Innovation
***Service
In summary, the visit provided the Daviess County CEO Cohort with meaningful insights into leadership, workplace culture, and personal development. TrueScripts stands as a model of how vision, values, and innovation can come together to create lasting impact. Special thanks to the TrueScripts team for an inspiring and educational experience.
