CEO Cohort Concludes First Week with Alumni Roundtable Sessions
The Daviess County CEO Cohort wrapped up their inaugural week on Friday, August 15, 2025, with an invaluable roundtable session featuring alumni from the program's past four years and current mentors and board members.
The cohort had the opportunity to learn from an impressive group of returning participants, including Lauren Milton, Bob Barron, Katie Raber, Ian Dayton, Simon Parsons, Addie Jarrett, Mariah Brunson, Chloe Garland, Karsyn Wittmer, Shane Stoll, Joel King, Trent Graber, and Landon Wagler.
Reinforcing Key Professional Skills
Five discussion tables were strategically organized to reinforce the essential principles that Bob Schultz had presented earlier in the week. The roundtable format allowed current cohort members to engage in meaningful conversations about critical professional development areas:
Communication and Engagement:
***The importance of asking thoughtful questions
***Effective note-taking strategies
***Building connections and networking with mentors and speakers
***The value of expressing gratitude to speakers
Professional Standards:
***Maintaining professional dress standards
***The importance of punctuality
***Reframing failures as opportunities for pivoting
Long-term Perspective:
***Life after completing the CEO program
***Participating in ongoing CEO events
***Discovering personal motivation drivers
***Developing and refining business ideas
***A Foundation for Success
This collaborative session provided current participants with real-world insights from those who have successfully navigated the CEO program and moved into their professional careers. The diverse experiences shared by alumni and mentors offered practical guidance that extends far beyond the classroom setting.
The Daviess County CEO Cohort extends its sincere appreciation to all the alumni, mentors, and board members who generously shared their time and expertise with the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders. Their contributions help ensure that each new cohort builds upon the strong foundation of professional excellence that defines the program.
