On Friday, August 22, 2025, the Daviess County CEO cohort visited Susan Ramsey Fitness and Bar None CrossFit, where they discovered an inspiring story of passion-driven entrepreneurship. Susan Ramsey's remarkable transformation from x-ray technician to certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach, and successful business owner demonstrating how following your calling can create meaningful change in both your life and community.
For Susan, this isn't simply a business venture—it's her life's mission and passion. She emphasizes a fundamental truth: movement is crucial for both mental and physical well-being. Her philosophy is elegantly simple: "Move well + eat well = feel well." This conviction drives everything she does, from leading her team of nine instructors to serving her expanding client base.
Susan's fitness journey began as a personal hobby before evolving into a thriving enterprise. Starting in her basement in 2017 with just two clients, she has built something remarkable over eight years. Today, her dedicated facility serves more than 350 clients, a testament to her commitment and the effectiveness of her approach. She credits her husband Clint as her biggest supporter, encouraging her to take that initial leap of faith.
During the visit, Susan shared profound advice with the CEO cohort: true success doesn't come from giant leaps but from small, intentional steps—much like raising a child. This message of patience, passion, and persistence resonated deeply with the young entrepreneurs, offering them a realistic perspective on building something meaningful.
Beyond physical transformation, Susan's mission centers on creating a strong, supportive community. Her approach goes far beyond exercise routines; she's building connections and fostering an environment where everyone can thrive.
The cohort's visit concluded with an energizing 16-minute workout led by Susan herself. This hands-on experience reinforced her message that fitness is accessible and trans formative for everyone, regardless of where they begin their journey. Her infectious enthusiasm and unwavering dedication left a lasting impression, inspiring even those who might have previously doubted their ability to embrace fitness.
Thank you Susan for taking time out of your busy schedule to share with the Cohort. Susan's story serves as a powerful reminder that it's never too late to pursue your dreams and make a meaningful difference in others' lives.
