On September 17, 2025, the Daviess County CEO Cohort had the honor of welcoming Blaine Fuhs, a 2015 CEO alumnus, for a powerful and inspiring session. To make the event even more impactful, the cohorts from Martin and Gibson Counties also joined, creating a larger community of young entrepreneurs eager to learn from Blaine’s message.
Blaine—an entrepreneur, speaker, and leader known for his creative approach to life—challenged students to “be a light and discover the goodness within.” His talk blended practical wisdom with motivational insights, offering tools for both personal and professional growth. His reminders to “find your platform” and “don’t let ego be your barrier” set the tone for an unforgettable session.
Key Takeaways from Blaine’s Talk:
***Find Your Purpose – True fulfillment comes from knowing what drives you beyond surface-level achievements. Purpose brings clarity and direction to life.
***Be a Light – Choose positivity, kindness, and encouragement. In a dark or discouraging world, being a light can uplift and inspire others.
***Keep Dreaming – Dreams fuel innovation. Blaine urged students to dream big, take risks, and embrace failure as a stepping stone to success.
***Instill Value in Others – True leadership is measured not just by personal success, but by how much value you add to others’ lives.
***Use Your Voice – Everyone has something important to say that others need to hear. Your words can bring wisdom, support, and encouragement.
***Be Available – Presence means more than just showing up. Be emotionally and mentally present for your family, friends, and community.
***The Power of a Smile – Small gestures, like a smile, can break down barriers and brighten someone’s day.
***Embrace Your Complexity – Each individual is dynamic, creative, and irreplaceable. Own your uniqueness—no one else can replicate it.
***Purpose Over Potential – Success without purpose leaves a void. True fulfillment comes from aligning your achievements with your deeper calling.
***Authenticity Matters – Be yourself instead of chasing trends or the approval of others. Authenticity leads to a more meaningful life.
***The Value of Journaling – Writing down thoughts, goals, and reflections provides clarity, tracks progress, and strengthens self-awareness.
Blaine also spoke on the difference between being good and being great, reminding the group that goodness is not about recognition but about purpose-driven living.
As the session wrapped up, gratitude filled the room. The cohorts thanked Blaine for his time, wisdom, and heartfelt encouragement. His message will remain with them as they continue their entrepreneurial journeys
