On March 17, 2026, the Daviess County CEO Cohort had the privilege of visiting TrueScripts, a fast-growing company that has built an impressive reputation in just a decade. The visit offered students a meaningful, behind-the-scenes look at how strong values and intentional leadership can drive both growth and impact. Rooted in faith-based principles, the organization clearly prioritizes purpose alongside performance.
The cohort was welcomed by team members Kurt Carpenter, Hannah Wiscaver, and Ashley Fischer, who created an engaging and encouraging environment for learning. They shared insights into leadership, personal development, and career readiness, emphasizing that success at TrueScripts goes far beyond traditional workplace expectations. Their philosophy—focused on delivering exceptional care and striving for excellence rather than size—was evident throughout the experience.
During the visit, students were challenged to think differently about their futures and were encouraged to:
* Pursue internships and hands-on experiences
* Approach each day as an opportunity to make a strong impression
* Choose growth over convenience
* Build connections with intention
* Present themselves professionally
* Expand their skill sets
* Stay genuine in who they are
* Learn from failure rather than fear it
* Practice honesty and openness
* Take initiative and embrace new challenges
Kurt Carpenter highlighted the importance of adaptability, reminding students that career paths are rarely linear and that being open to change is key to long-term success. A standout moment of the visit was learning about TrueScripts’ “Dream Manager” program, which supports employees in reaching personal and professional goals—demonstrating the company’s commitment to investing in people beyond their roles.
TrueScripts’ mission to deliver outstanding care every day is supported by its core values of integrity, respect, innovation, and service. These principles are not just stated—they are actively practiced, shaping a workplace culture centered on growth, purpose, and excellence.
Overall, the visit left a lasting impression on the cohort, providing valuable lessons on leadership, culture, and self-development. TrueScripts serves as a powerful example of how a clear vision and strong values can create meaningful success. The cohort extends its sincere appreciation to the team for their hospitality, insight, and the thoughtful touches—including a great start to the morning with delicious treats.
