On Thursday, September 17, 2026, the Daviess County CEO Cohort had a great opportunity to connect with the incredible group of local business leaders who have volunteered to serve as mentors for the 2026–27 CEO year.
The morning featured a fun and fast-paced “Mentor Speed Dating” session. Students rotated from mentor to mentor, spending a few minutes getting acquainted, asking questions, sharing their interests, and learning more about each mentor’s business and experiences.
While the conversations were short, the connections made could last throughout the entire school year. The goal was to give students and mentors an opportunity to find common interests and begin identifying pairings that will provide students with encouragement, guidance, and real-world business insight.
These mentor relationships are an important part of the Daviess County CEO experience. Our mentors don't simply share what they know about business—they share their time, experiences, successes, challenges, and lessons learned with our students.
A HUGE thank-you goes out to every mentor who took time out of their busy schedule to spend part of the day with us! Your willingness to invest in our students is truly appreciated.
The success of CEO is built on the support of our local business community, and our mentors play a tremendous role in helping our students learn, connect, grow, and become the entrepreneurs and community leaders of tomorrow.
