On Friday, April 5, 2024, the CEO program was privileged to host Erin Kramer, a distinguished alumna from 2018. Erin, the proud owner of Pink Bones Boutique, shared her journey and insights into the fashion world with the eager cohort.
Pink Bones Boutique is not just an online store; it’s a reflection of Erin's philosophy. With a theme of "Live like you're dying" and a mission to "Give women the confidence to...", Erin has crafted a brand that resonates with many.
Erin emphasized the significance of having a solid business plan, crediting it as a roadmap to success. Her achievements in the fashion industry, ranging from her education at the renowned FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles to her ventures with Pink Bones Boutique, serve as testament to her words.
During her talk, Erin imparted valuable advice to the cohort. She urged them, "Don't wait around for someone to notice you!" Emphasizing the importance of initiative and perseverance, Erin shared that the CEO program was pivotal in shaping her entrepreneurial journey, describing it as "the best thing that ever happened to her."
She highlighted key factors that have contributed to her success as a business owner, including connecting with the community, meeting new people, bringing unique offerings to the local market, enjoying time freedom, and experiencing the rewards of being self-employed.
Erin also outlined her major takeaways from the CEO program, which included the importance of a business plan, effective self-presentation, leveraging local resources, seizing opportunities, honing networking skills, and exploring diverse marketing strategies.
As the cohort prepared for their upcoming trade-show, Erin offered practical tips to help them shine. Her parting words were filled with encouragement and wisdom: "Always follow your dreams; find your niche; seek opportunities; educate yourself, and remember, it's okay to ask for help."
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Erin Kramer for her inspiring visit and for her ongoing commitment to the success of the CEO program. Her journey serves as a beacon of hope and guidance for aspiring entrepreneurs, reminding us all of the power of passion, perseverance, and community engagement.
